You may apply on-line here. If you wish to apply by mail, the application is downloadable or is provided upon request. During the admission interview, supportive materials showing previous work (i.e. photographs, drawings, resume, etc.) are encouraged but is not required. A Cosmetology license is not required. Students who are selected will be contacted by email once the application is received. The admission interview/orientation will be made prior to the first class meeting by appointment only.
Students are responsible for providing their own supplies for their makeup kit. See supplies page.
The 8-week certification program tuition is $1600 (reg $2495) and due upon acceptance (financial aid available). Tuition does not cover costs of supplies, expenses, or materials required for the program. A training manual is included. Tuition is non-refundable and must be paid in full prior to the first class meeting. Tuition payment is accepted in cash, check, or major credit card (VISA, MasterCard, AMEX).
Private one-on-one workshops are available for $200. Contact us to schedule.
The Academy of Cosmetic Arts offers photoshoots at every class. This is to document your work on your models. We do encourage you bring in your own camera for documentation purposes of your work on your model. Models are the students responsibility but we do offer model referrals. The photographer charges for the prints but the shoot is free.
Refunds are granted only upon written request and must be received by certified mail no later than three days prior to the first class meeting.
Missed classes due to illness may be made up with prior arrangements with the instructor. The instructor must be notified of any absences prior to the class meeting. There are no refunds for missed classes.
In order to assure maximum individual attention we accept only six students per class. We feel that quality is of the utmost importance.
In order to secure a place, the enrollment application must be completed and recieved by us. As soon as six applicants have been accepted, the class is closed. Therefore, it is advisable to enroll early. We will be happy to send you an enrollment application upon request or you may download a copy.
