The Academy program offers eight workshops which can be taken privately or in group. Each workshop is approximately three hours long. Each student is requered to bring cosmetic supplies which should be carried in a professional makeup artist case. Bringing a model to class is highly encouraged. Certification is rewarded upon completion of the eight workshops. You may take photos/videos of your personal class work. Cost of each workshop is $200.
Workshop 1 – Commercial Print and Lifestyle
This class covers basic makeup techniques which is used on men and women who work in corporate Silicon Valley on camera. This class involves 'lite hair'. Male or female model. HD kit required. We will go over sanitation of kit.
Workshop 2 – Contouring and Highlighting
This required class covers the art of emphasizing bone structure and working on the perfect brow. Two eye styles will be demonstrated. Female Model. Some hairstyling is required. PLEASE BRING INDIVIDUAL LASHES.
Workshop 3 – Here Comes the Bride
This informative class covers marketing yourself to the bridal client. Advertising costs, insurance, etc. You are required to find a bridal look from Pinterest or magazine to apply on your model. Wedding gowns available for use. Hair styling encouraged. Please bring strip lashes.
Workshop 4 – Bridal Airbrush
One of the most requested services from a bride is to be air brushed. Continuing our bridal looks with emphasis on types of brides as in Indian or Asian looks and lashes individual and strips. Waterproof makeup. You are encouraged to bring hair accessories for your model. Airbrush encouraged.
Workshop 5 – High Fashion Magazine Work
Please choose a look out of a high fashion magazine that you can reproduce on your model. We will go over 5 different eye looks that you may use from modeling agency composite chards to models in the industry updating their portfolios.
Workshop 6 – Film and Television
From 'Dancing with the Stars' to 'Fox News', you will learn techniques on being part of the crew, what to put in your set bag, and film etiquette. Male or female must dress corporate or in costume.
Workshop 7 – 'The Walking Dead'
Time and again our crew is always asked to do zombie looks for movies, stage, music video's, etc. This is a class not for the timid. You will learn from our masters, easy techniques you can take on the job; latex, theatrical makeup, blood. Any model (who doesn't mind getting messed up), please do not wear anything that will stain since we will be working with blood and latex.
Workshop 8 – Fashion Fantasy Body Painting
'Glitter and Glitz' is the main theme of this class where you are able to win an award for your special look as voted by the staff. We encourage you to costume your model. You may also use airbrush wigs and body paint. Bring your choice of model (clothing optional).
